I'll be honest, when I first saw the Crestron Intelligent Room Designer, I thought it was just another floor planning tool for laying out tables and chairs. I was completely wrong. This free online tool is actually a powerful visual programming interface that is a total game changer for anyone deploying Crestron Automate VX systems. It's not just about where to put the gear; it's how you can fully configure microphone coverage, camera shots, and advanced switching logic, and then export a file that programs the entire room for you. It turns hours of complex, on-site programming into a simple, visual design process. In this video, I walk through the key "intelligent" features that I completely missed at first, showing you how to go from a simple floor plan to a fully configured, multi-camera space ready for deployment.
