DENVER, CO, February 23, 2015 – Glowpoint, Inc. (NYSE MKT: GLOW), a leading provider of cloud-based video collaboration and support services, today announced the release of its innovative Hybrid Videoconferencing service. Customers can now easily accommodate a variety of video meeting scenarios that were previously unavailable through a self-service virtual meeting room (VMR) solution. By taking advantage of VMR technologies’ “self-service” capabilities and coupling that with an automated managed service experience (AMSE), business users increase their reach and participation, and ensure that everyone and every endpoint connects to the VMR meeting securely, easily, and reliably.
Glowpoint’s AMSE platform has been designed to combine the benefits of “high-touch” concierge video meetings and the fast growing VMR solutions that are being embraced by users today. AMSE takes the traditional complexity of room scheduling, video resource management and video call launching, and delivers that in an automated solution to users of a VMR service.
“Users’ video meeting needs change daily, hourly, even during the meeting. We’re excited to give customers a cost-effective solution to reliably and assuredly connect rooms, endpoints, browsers and mobile devices together in a VMR experience, automatically, even when a degree of service management is required,” stated Gary Iles, SVP Sales & Marketing.
Merging these connection capabilities is powerful and guarantees all users and meeting types are accommodated.
“Hybrid Videoconferencing is unique in the marketplace. It focuses on a methodical approach for getting easy-to-use video services in the hands of all users,” said Peter Holst, President and CEO. “Ensuring that all users within the enterprise have a video service that meets their individual needs is paramount to a successful video deployment within the enterprise.”
As part of the service, Glowpoint’s Hybrid Videoconferencing delivers a convenient and intuitive web portal to schedule VMRs, add participants and locations, and send invites to meeting participants. Non-scheduled participants can also join the meeting from conference rooms, desktop and mobile apps, and phones.
“By offering the full spectrum of video collaboration services we’re addressing more use cases, supporting a wider range of users and partners, and accelerating adoption of video in the enterprise,” said Mark Haase, Vice President of Product,
