Music Room: The Music Teacher's Toolkit for Zoom
An interactive fretboard, Circle of Fifths, chord library, and metronome, right inside your Zoom lesson.
No holding chord charts up to the camera. No juggling browser tabs. No switching platforms.
Keep teaching in the Zoom you and your students already know. Music Room brings the tools.

Features
Interactive Fretboard
Show any of 11 scales and modes in any key, with notes or intervals labeled across a full 22-fret neck. Drag to slide along the neck, and click any fret to point at it, like tapping a spot on your student's guitar.
Circle of Fifths
Click any key to light up its chords, with Roman numerals, the key signature, and the relative major or minor. Explain why G, C, and D sound so good together in one click.
Chord Library
Fourteen chord types in every key, with open shapes and movable barre shapes. Label each diagram with finger numbers, note names, or intervals, and watch a major chord become minor by moving one note.
Metronome
Tap tempo, time signatures, and subdivisions from quarters to sixteenths, with a visual beat display. Each person runs their own, so nobody fights video call delay.
Tuner
A pedal-style tuner that names the note you're playing and lights up green when you're in tune. It listens through your web browser and shows the result right in Zoom.
Collaborate in Real Time
Start Collaborate and your student's Music Room follows along live. Either of you can switch keys, point at frets, and change chords.
How It Works
Add Music Room
Find Music Room on the Zoom App Marketplace and click Add. It takes about a minute.

Teach
Switch between tools as the lesson flows, and start Collaborate whenever you want your student to follow along.
Free for the Love of Music
Music Room is free, with no accounts, no paid tiers and nothing locked away. If it helps your lessons and you’d like to say thanks, you can buy me a set of strings.
Why Music Room?
I’ve taken plenty of guitar lessons over video, and even the best teachers were sometimes fighting their tools: sharing clumsy browser tabs, screen sharing rough drawings, holding their fretboard up to the camera.
Music Room is the toolkit I wished my teachers had, built right into the app they already use.
