New Certification Expands Company’s Best-in-Class Audio Visual Integration Practice
September 30, 2014, Kennesaw, GA – Applied Global Technologies (AGT), a proven provider of managed and visual collaboration solutions, today announces its staff engineer has achieved Crestron® DMC-E-4K certification to support its growing Audio Visual (A/V) Integration practice. AGT’s certified A/V integration team designs, integrates and manages best-in-class collaborative environments that enhance communication, increase productivity and reduce costs for organizations.
Crestron DigitalMedia™ Certification courses, which now include 4K training, provide certified A/V professionals with the knowledge and expertise to properly employ and support digital media systems that incorporate new technology. With this 4K training provided by Crestron, AGT has the certified knowledge to design and program 4K systems, including a thorough understanding of installation requirements, system testing and reporting processes. The certification not only expands AGT’s knowledge base, but it further drives goals of creating innovative and future-proof conference room solutions for clients and partners as well.
With four times the resolution of 1080p, 4K is meeting today’s growing demand for higher image quality, driven by applications such as digital signage, visualization, medical imaging, sports and others. The proliferation of high-resolution laptops is driving demand, as well, making 4K distribution essential in conference rooms and boardrooms. The faster signal speeds associated with 4K present a number of new system design and engineering challenges, which AGT can now successfully address and solve.
“Having a staff engineer achieve Crestron DMC-E-4K certification highlights AGT’s commitment to investing in and offering the best audio visual solutions to our clients and partners,” explains Ben Hitt, AGT’s director of A/V integration. “Our A/V integration business is experiencing tremendous growth and Crestron 4K expertise expands our full range of A/V capabilities. We always strive to stay ahead of the technology curve for our customers to ensure we have solutions in place for current and future challenges.”
“Crestron is committed to providing the best training and certifying industry technicians, designers, and engineers,” said Rich Sasson, Crestron Global Director of Technical Services. “We’ve been quick to embrace emerging technologies such as 4K and our curriculum reflects this advancement. We’re sharing everything we’ve learned about 4K in our DMC-E-4K course. As always, our goal is to keep our dealers and partners ahead of the technology curve, arming them with solutions to the challenges they might encounter in the field.”
