App Enables Local Control of Pan, Tilt and Zoom within PanaCast 2 Panoramic-4K Video Stream

Targeted towards web video collaboration, the new app enables local control of digital pan, tilt and zoom within the video stream of a PanaCast 2 camera connected to the PC handling the web conference connection.
Launched earlier this year, the Plug-and-Play USB 3.0 PanaCast 2 camera solves one of the biggest challenges of today’s video cameras in video conferencing and collaboration: narrow field of view, low resolution and slow mechanical operation that prevent remote participants from seeing and engaging in a natural human way. With its 180° wide, 54° tall field of view and Panoramic-4K resolution (3840 X 1080), the PanaCast 2 camera delivers a comprehensive view of the entire meeting space with exceptionally clear video providing a human visual perspective to remote participants.
The PanaCast ePTZ app helps remote participants have an even more detailed and richer collaboration experience. Using keyboard, mouse or familiar multi-touch gestures on a touch screen or track pad, local participants can digitally pan, tilt and zoom (4X) within the PanCast 2 video stream to quickly focus on specific areas for the benefit of remote participants. For instance, details on a white board can be highlighted or attention can be brought to a speaker in a meeting. With the PanaCast ePTZ app, local participants help remote participants virtually “look around” the meeting room, helping them collaborate more effectively, improving productivity.
