BCS Global Provides Simplified Collaboration Experience

New service provides simplified in-room collaboration experience that works with existing video systems

BCS Global Networks Ltd, the visual communication and collaboration specialist, continues to build on its Unified Communications portfolio with the launch of SmartSpace, a new offering which reduces the complexity, time and costs involved in successfully deploying traditional A/V collaboration equipment and Telepresence systems in meeting rooms.

SmartSpace is a result of a partnership with the team at Ashton Bentley to design a solution to these challenges, as well as to simplify and enhance the whole collaboration user experience. SmartSpace is a unique range of advanced and stylish products, which are simple to install, operate, manage and maintain across the globe.

“Many customers have challenges with a standard collaboration footprint for meeting rooms and are looking for a simple collaboration solution in a box”, says Dan Tanel, BCS Global chief technology officer (CTO). “A standard form factor that can be drop shipped anywhere around the globe, eliminating the need to source a local A/V provider, streamlining logistics and allowing the procurement group to order a solution from a simple SKU card, is a requirement that continues to be present”.

“At BCS, it’s our goal to simplify the in-room collaboration experience for our customers. The solution is designed for any meeting room, providing superb presentation facilities with an option to add in a video unit.  The great feature is that you can add any vendor’s video technology (Cisco, Polycom, Vidyo, Microsoft).  With Microsoft, a person can bring their laptop and personal profile into the meeting room and benefit from professional audio-visual facilites.”

“The launch of SmartSpace follows extensive field testing with excellent feedback from clients.  Future releases of the platform will include cloud-based managed services to provide full remote management of the in-room environment.” concludes Tanel.

Roger McArdell, founder and CTO of Ashton Bentley comments that “Removing complexity is the prime focus of our solutions. We are excited to partner with BCS to provide customers with the complete package of simple to deploy, easy to operate and fully managed solution for any collaboration space.”
