EMC partners with INXPO to produce the annual Virtual Systems Engineer Conference with live video streamed globally.
November 18, 2014, Chicago, Illinois – Editors of Event Marketer magazine announce EMC and INXPO as an award winner for Best Use of Video Streaming at the 2014 Event Technology Awards on November 4th in Las Vegas. Awards were given out across 22 categories with hundreds of nominations marking this as Event Marketers most competitive Event Technology Awards. Event Marketer magazine Group Editor Jessica Heasley made an exciting remark, “If you’re looking for a glimpse into the future of live events, and what can be accomplished when live engagement strategies integrate seamlessly with digital innovation, look no further than this year’s winners.”
For the Best Use of Video Streaming award, EMC Experiential Marketing Group leveraged INXPO’s XPOCAST platform, a webcasting technology, based on its ability to deliver interactive video presentations to EMC’s global audience. Most importantly, the platform was highly customizable allowing EMC to bring the event experience to life through video. One of the main goals of the EMC event was to ensure that the virtual event remained highly interactive allowing SEs (System Engineers) to hear and see their colleagues around the globe as well as the EMC executives.
INXPO worked with EMC to craft a solution that would make a high-touch, live, interactive virtual event possible for 3000+ EMC System Engineers (SEs) and Partners across over 100 locations around the globe. INXPO integrated with several partners to provide a custom solution to meet the needs of the client. INXPO utilized video to create two-way conversations between EMC Headquarters and several locations across the world. In addition, INXPO also partnered with multiple vendors for satellite feeds and planning as well as collaborating with the EMC TV team for video production support. INXPO provided the webcasting technology that included real-time video, chat, Q&A with participants and speakers, and a live twitter stream to aggregate fresh tweets mentioning the event and any tweets that included the event hashtag #vSEconf. Participants from around the globe were connected and engaged using all of the above technologies in a way that had never been done before during an EMC event.
Danielle Young, Global Presales Operations commented on the award, “The entire EMC team as well as so many other people came together to pull off an amazing event and our innovative approach to doing virtual training was well recognized. We were up against other companies like Mattel and Mary Kay which are impressive companies to be recognized with.”
Being recognized for video streaming at a hybrid event is a great win for webcasting technology as more and more companies are transitioning to hosting hybrid events with live video streaming to meet the many needs of their organization. INXPO and EMC look forward to continuing their partnership to produce cutting edge hybrid video streaming events.
