New feature significantly improves Lync video conferencing experience

In a first-ever public demonstration, Pexip’s Marius Nilsen showcases dual stream, bidirectional RDP content sharing to Microsoft Lync 2010, 2013 and Lync Online from standards-based SIP or H.323 video conferencing systems.

Pexip Infinity transcodes BFCP or H.239 presentation content into RDP and keeps it separate from video when sharing to Lync users in a meeting. Expected behaviour from Lync – but unheard of for legacy video systems. Until now.

How does this benefit the user?

The feature significantly enhances the user experience when meeting across systems including Lync and legacy video. Up until today, where Pexip Infinity showcases the paradigm-changer, Lync users had to select whether they wanted to see the presented content, or the presenter. It was not an option to see both. This solution has been less than ideal, especially for dual-screen systems and Lync Room Systems, but also for single screen users. Seeing the presenter is paramount in many situations where a strong two-way or multi-way dialog is present.
