VDO360 moves to the front of the class with RTLS auto-tracking camera system
December 29, 2016, Edgewater, MD – VDO360 premiers the AutoPilot RTLS auto-tracking camera system.
“We are premiering the World’s First RTLS (Real Time Location System) based auto-tracking USB PTZ camera system,” states Michael Baker, VP of Sales, VDO360. “It is time for the tracking camera to catch up to the available technology”.
The AutoPilot (AP) system is based on wideband RF technology widely used in modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, not on outdated IR or shape/motion recognition technologies, which while demonstrate well, have glaring issues in real-world applications. The AP system is also the first use of UVC commands for tracking and is compatible with our Saber camera at USB 3.0 and now our CompassX camera at USB 2.0
“The AP system is easily installed and provides a great amount of flexibility in configuration” Michael Baker goes on to say. “We teamed up with the team at Jigabot LLC, inarguably the leaders in the development of tracking technology, to provide our customers with a product that is truly groundbreaking in its capabilities as well as very affordable”.
VDO360 will be showing the AutoPilot at CES in Las Vegas, January 5th-8th , booth 45438 in the Education Marketplace, The Sands/Venetian Convention Center.
