August 26, 2015, San Francisco, CA and Washington DC – Fuze, a leading internet video conferencing company reinventing how distributed teams work, today announced it has been added to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) list of authorized suppliers to the U.S. Federal Government. The Fuze service allows people to work more effectively across locations and devices, which aligns to a number of key government agency initiatives, including operational efficiency, interagency coordination, telework, business continuity, and emergency preparedness and response.

As part of its government initiative, Fuze is working with Winvale, a leading government contracts consultancy and solutions provider. “Agencies continue to look for solutions like Fuze that can help them better collaborate with other agencies and more effectively connect their teams whether they are in another office, in the field or at home,” said Kevin Lancaster, CEO of Winvale.

Fuze applications provide a consistent experience across smartphones, tablets, laptops and meeting rooms, and are powered by an intelligent, global network that optimizes the quality and experience for each person on the call through features like intelligent call routing between data centers. For agencies with existing investments in hardware-based video conferencing systems, a Fuze Telepresence Connect interoperability service easily connects systems from Cisco, Polycom, LifeSize and others into Fuze meetings.

“Fuze is seeing rapid user adoption by delivering on the promise of easy, high-quality video conferencing. It’s helping organizations across industries work smarter, move faster and reduce costs,” said Eric Hanson, vice president of marketing at Fuze. “Because Fuze is so flexible and affordable, many customers find they can deploy it much more broadly and for greater benefit, at a fraction of the cost of traditional solutions.”

Fuze is used by more than 6.5M users in 185 countries and more than 100,000 organizations. Nearly two million minutes of meetings are run through Fuze every workday and Fuze has facilitated more than 1.2 billion meeting minutes since inception.

Vendors must pass an extensive review process in order to be approved for GSA listing, which helps government buyers save time by procuring through the pre-approved list of suppliers at pre-negotiated rates and terms. Fuze provides a reliable, secure service based on a global network, which meets important compliance requirements, including advanced media and content encryption, FIPS 140-2 and US/EU Safe Harbor for data storage, and HIPAA Attestation for use in healthcare environments.

Government agencies and other organizations using the GSA schedule may now purchase Fuze through The Winvale Group GSA Contract (#GS-35F-0074S) by searching the GSA Advantage website for “Fuze video conferencing.” Specific SKUs include Fuze Pro (SKU-00000057) and Fuze Premium (SKU-00000058).
