Encourages Its 3,500 Team Members and Partner Companies to Work from Home

September 26, 2018, Newark, CA and Lausanne, Switzerland — Today, Logitech announced that, for the second year in a row, the company is celebrating National Work from Home Week (#WFHWeek). Logitech is recognizing Wednesday, Oct. 10 as its global WFH Day and is encouraging employees worldwide to work from home that day.

Working from home can offer significant benefits to employers, employees and the planet. Research from Global Workplace Analytics shows working from home can lead to increased productivity, improved employee morale, higher talent retention rates and more. And in today’s connected world, Logitech sees little reason to discourage our team members from working from just about anywhere.

In 2017, #WFHWeek participants saved more than 60,000 kg of CO2 by working from home. That’s the equivalent of nearly 150,000 miles driven in a standard car – and it equals approximately six times the circumference of Earth. What’s more, people at Logitech saved an average of 90 minutes per day by skipping their daily commute. And thanks to video conferencing and other collaboration tools, it was business as usual all week.

“At Logitech, we are big proponents of WFH, with the belief that, in many cases, it doesn’t matter where you work; it matters how you work,” said Scott Wharton, vice president of general manager for Logitech Video Collaboration. “Last year during our first annual Work From Home week celebration, the feedback and participation from our global colleagues and our partner companies was extremely positive, and environmental benefits were notable.”

Logitech is recruiting partner companies once again this year to make National #WFHWeek something everyone embraces. So far, a number of companies such as Barco, BlueJeans, Samaschool, Upwork and Zoom are on board. Companies interested in helping Logitech celebrate National #WFHWeek can fill out this form.
