MegaPath Launches MegaPath One Enhanced Unified Communications Solution to Simplify Group Conferencing and Streamline Real-time Collaboration

MegaPath One combines IP business telephony with video calling, instant messaging, presence, and online conferencing in a single application that works on Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones and tablets. The new UC service supports an always-on virtual collaboration space called My Room and the ability for users to take turns sharing their screen within the same group session.
Additionally, MegaPath released Skype for Business Integration, giving businesses that have adopted Skype for Business the ability to expand its capabilities by integrating it with MegaPath’s mobility-enhanced business telephony system, Hosted Voice.

MegaPath One provides an all-in-one Unified Communications and Hosted PBX service with more than 50 calling, mobility and UC features to simplify daily communications, both in and out of the office. Enhancements to MegaPath’s UC offering include:
- My Room – MegaPath One connects more people via a single, always-on, virtual space called My Room. With this feature, users can start an audio or video conference with a single click, eliminating the need for an audio or video conference bridge.
- WebRTC – Guests without the MegaPath One client are able to join a conference using any WebRTC-compatible browser such as Chrome. WebRTC is an open framework for the web that enables Real Time Communications in the browser. With WebRTC, guests can participate using the same features, including audio, video, and instant messaging.
- Multi-Presenter Screen Share – MegaPath One enables multiple users/presenters to share their screen with conference participants, as well as one-click access to the conference session and immediate one-click escalation from chat to audio or video conferencing.
- Business Tool Integration – MegaPath One provides integration with other business productivity applications such as Microsoft Office. With the MegaPath One presence indicator, a user’s status is automatically updated based on their Outlook calendar. A user can also initiate a chat or call using Outlook contacts.
With the release of Skype for Business Integration, Businesses can fully leverage their Skype for Business investment by integrating MegaPath’s mobility-enhanced, business telephony system into the Skype user application. This service allows users to click-to-call internal or external contacts within Skype for Business or other Office 365 applications and documents. The Skype desktop client and optional MegaPath desk phone can be used interchangeably.
Similar to MegaPath One, users of the Skype for Business Integration with Hosted VoIP can use their desktop Skype application and MegaPath desk phone interchangeably for outbound and inbound calls using their business VoIP number.
