Millennials are having a major impact on the way people communicate and collaborate at work.
Otherwise known as Generation Y, these ‘digital natives’ are typically more confident using new technology like cloud-based applications and VoIP phone systems than the senior managers they work for. In addition, they have brought with them new ideas and ways of thinking about how organizations should operate and be structured.
According to Pew Research Center, millennials now make up 34 percent of all American workers, making them the largest generation in the U.S. labor force. This upheaval of the workplace demographic is expected to significantly transform work-life as we know it.
