September 27, 2018, Oslo – Media Network Services (MNS), a leading provider of video collaboration network and services, today announced that the company has been awarded ISO 27001 certification.

Issued by Lloyd’s Register Sweden, MNS has been awarded ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its global video collaboration network and its integrated family of services including QoS.VC, REC.VC, UpTime.VC, Selfie.VC and IVR.VC.

“MNS is to be applauded,” said Jonas Tingström, marketing manager for Lloyd’s Register Northern Europe. “Implementing ISO/IEC 27001 requires a stringent commitment by the entire organisation to uphold and certify to world-class data security standards, including compliance with the EU’s GDPR.”

“We’re proud to be internationally recognized as a leader in information security and data protection. It is a testament to the dedication of our team in ensuring that we have rigorous safeguards in place when handling customer and user information,” said Hans Fredrik Johansen, CEO of MNS. “Data security is critical when dealing with collaboration services including our REC.VC recording & streaming service, and the ISO/IEC 27001 certification shows that MNS provides our customers and users with the highest level of protection for their most sensitive communications.”

“The announcement of MNS’s ISO/IEC 27001 certification is big news for the collaboration industry in today’s security conscious environment. Many leading UC and videoconferencing services are powered by, or supported by, the MNS suite of offerings. As a result, MNS has the responsibility for handling a massive amount of customer data in a secure, and regulatory compliant, manner. With the implementation guidance of Allendevaux & Company, MNS has exhaustively implemented the necessary security controls and practices to protect this data” said David Maldow, Founder of Let’s Do Video.

Under the guidance of Allendevaux & Company, a worldwide authority on regulatory compliance and cybersecurity, MNS has implemented an information security management system (ISMS) to ensure compliance with many geographic and sectoral regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, PIPEDA, GDPR and others.

“As a growing organisation that handles sensitive UC data, including recorded conferences, MNS has achieved the most widely recognized and internationally accepted information security standard,” said Rebekah Allendevaux, senior partner. “ISO/IEC 27001 certification validates rigorous practices across administrative, physical and technical security controls, independently audited by Lloyd’s to ensure customers can trust MNS to safeguard information.”
