NuevaCare Launches Remote Care Management with Kubi Telepresence Robot

May 9, 2016, San Mateo, CA – NuevaCare, a technology-based home care company in the San Francisco Bay Area, unveils Remote Care Management based on Kubi, the telepresence robot from Revolve Robotics, a leading innovator in telepresence robots.

NuevaCare recently completed an Aging2.0-facilitated pilot with families in the San Francisco Bay Area, working with Revolve Robotics to trial Kubi in a real-world elder care setting. With Kubi in an older adult’s home, care managers are now able to log in to their clients’ homes to instantly check in with clients and caregivers, ensuring the highest quality of service. Kubi lets the care managers control their point of view by panning and tilting a remote tablet. These virtual visits offered savings in time and cost – and improvements in care.

NuevaCare’s use of Kubi is being showcased at the18th Annual Updates on Dementia Conference: Translating Research into Practice event on Tuesday, May 10th at the Crown Plaza Hotel at 1221 Chess Drive Forest City, CA. Attendees will have the chance to experience the technology and discover the benefits specifically for families with members with dementia.

By partnering with Revolve Robotics, NuevaCare can now add this service for all families who would benefit from the new layer of access, oversight and supervision, saving both money and time for those who are struggling to balance the increasing need for long-term in-home support.
