Pexip Awarded Contract From Statoil to Power 4,000 Virtual Meeting Rooms

Statoil is one of the world’s leading oil and gas companies and has years of experience in using video communications to optimize their efficiency. Now Statoil has chosen to use Pexip Infinity software.

January 20, 2015 – In December 2014, Pexip and its Norwegian Partner, Atea were awarded a contract from Statoil for the company acquiring 4,000 Virtual Meeting Rooms on Pexip Infinity. Pexip’s Virtual Meeting Rooms enable anyone to call in to a video meeting using the client of their choice, be it traditional videoconferencing endpoints, Microsoft Lync, a web browser, or even a mobile device.

One of the key benefits of Pexip Infinity is the ability to connect enterprise Lync users with traditional videoconferencing infrastructure, while retaining the Lync user experience on one side, and the videoconferencing user experience on the other.

Pexip Infinity’s ability to fully preserve meeting experiences, and living up to participants’ expectations of how to simply attend and take part in meetings, are major arguments for companies in choosing Pexip Infinity as part of their collaboration strategies.

In general, users look to an even more productive future using video and personal collaboration tools that enable them to participate in meetings whenever or wherever, with whatever device they choose.
