VDO360 Announces Release of World’s First PTZPC

VDO360 creates a brand new product category with the release of the Clearwater PTZPC, an all in one solution for visual communication spaces.

November 18, 2015, Edgewater MD – VDO360 announces the general availability date for The Clearwater System, the World’s First PTZPC.

“We are very excited to be able to bring to the market the latest advance in Visual Communications technology. Our award winning Compass camera, powered by an Intel® Core i5 vPro processor in a single unit provides a simple, yet versatile, Visual Communications Space solution,” says Dan Freeman CEO, VDO360. “We first introduced our concept of The Clearwater System at InfoComm 2015 in Orlando FL to rave reviews and multiple awards. We then took all of the suggestions from the attendees and created a newly designed Clearwater System for wide distribution.”

The Clearwater System core is the PTZPC— powered by an Intel® Core i5 vPro processor, a 120 GB Intel® SSD, Intel’s most advanced wireless capability in the Centrino 7265AC with BT, 8 GB of RAM, and a full version of Microsoft® Windows 10 all inside of a custom designed Compass camera housing. In addition, the whole system includes a wireless media keyboard, a Bluetooth Speakerphone by Harman/Kardon®, the new Flare button for one button preset camera position recall, and of course all cables and accessories to complete your Visual Communications Space. Just add displays or projectors up to 4K resolution and the room is ready.

“We’re excited to be working with VDO360 as they look to take off the shelf components, like an Intel NUC board, to create innovative solutions to meet customer needs,” says Joel Christensen, GM of the Intel® NUC team. “The Clearwater System offers a great way for small and medium businesses to easily and affordably add video conferencing into their work environment.”

“The Clearwater System is the new solution for the conference space,” according to Chip Manning COO, VDO360. “What we have done is to simplify the installation and deployment. As easy as simply providing a power outlet near the front of the room. No need to run cables from the PC to the camera, no cables for the audio solution, and it can be configured to be completely cable free with the Wireless Display capability! And one more thing—for those organizations looking for a fully integrated space, the Clearwater System is the first purpose designed Intel® Unite Hub enabled endpoint.”

The Clearwater System will be shipping to VDO360’s network of distributors and dealers commencing the week of November 16, 2015. $2,699.00 USD MSRP.
