July 18, Oslo, Norway – VideonorPexip, and Google Hangouts Meet have teamed up to deliver seamless video conferencing interoperability for organizations with a Google Cloud deployment.

Norwegian-based company Videonor, has been a pioneer in interoperability across cloud video solutions, delivering services to companies in over 60 countries. Videonor is one of the few selected service providers of cloud based interoperability for Google Hangouts Meet, allowing them to deliver this cutting edge solution globally.

“We are pleased to add Google Hangouts Meet to our interoperability capabilities. We continue to pursue our vision of making video conferencing easy across whichever platform your organization uses. Employees want to keep using the tools they are used to using everyday. Google Hangouts interop is a key piece to providing that flexibility to customers.” says Jørn Mikalsen, Videonor founder.

Videonor and their partners can now bring seamless video experience to their customers who are standardized on Google Hangout Meets, but want to leverage their traditional conference rooms with SIP/H.323.standards based video conferencing systems. The technology allows anyone to join a Google Hangouts Meet video call whether they have Meet or not. Callers can join from traditional SIP/H.323 video systems (Cisco, Polycom, Lifesize, etc), and even from Skype for Business, audio dial in, WebRTC for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Opera, or their Videonor video client.

“Pexip Infinity and Google Hangouts Meet interoperability is opening frictionless communication to a whole new market of organizations. We’re thrilled to work with Videonor as a trusted partner to deliver this interop on their cloud capabilities to customers globally,” says Pexip’s EVP Strategic Partnerships, Åsmund Fodstad.

“This is a game changer for Google Cloud partners – they will be able to service their customers in a way that will allow massive companies to keep the workflows they’re used to using everyday, while leveraging their legacy video systems” says Espen Nijjer, Videonor Sales VP.
