New remote urgent care site lets patients consult with doctors from their computers, tablets, or phones.
August 29, 2014, La Mirada, CA – Healthpointe has unveiled its new virtual urgent care which will give patients the convenience of visiting with physicians online. Anyone can sign up for consultations with Healthpointe doctors through telemedicine.
Healthpointe doctors are always available and happy to see patients over video calls (or audio). If necessary, the doctor can even see the patient’s entire family. Once the doctor has assessed the patient’s condition, he or she can prescribe medications that are available for pick-up at all local pharmacies. The doctor can then make any necessary follow-up appointments, which will appear after the session in a convenient scheduling view. Unlike physical waiting rooms, the site never closes; Healthpointe’s virtual urgent care is open for appointments 24 hours a day.
Healthpointe understands that many people cannot take time out of their work days, or do not have the means of transportation to make it to an office. Telemedicine eliminates all the factors that may discourage people from scheduling a physical doctor’s appointment.
