Now you don’t need to invest in expensive video cameras or meeting rooms – all you need is some software or an app and the cameras built into your laptop, tablet or even your smartphone.

A web conferencing platform for web meetings, eLearning and webinars, Adobe Connect is a multifaceted solution – which comes at a price. Costing from about £35 per month, it’s certainly not the cheapest option, but it is well suited to collaborative working, especially for big organisations. With Adobe Connect Mobile, you can also enjoy convenient meeting access from a variety of mobile devices, such as the Apple iPad and iPhone, as well as a host of Android devices running Adobe Flash Player and Adobe AIR.

Cisco Webex

One of the most established names in the enterprise space, WebEx Meetings allows you to meet online, collaborate and share content. You can also organise meeting-related information and activities in one centralised space. Three versions are available, including a free version that allows three people per meeting and standard definition video. More advanced versions include Premium 25 (25 people per meeting) for £30 and Premium 100 (100 people per meeting) for £49 per month. Both offer high definition video.
