After the avalanche of UC-related announcements last week coming out of Enterprise Connect, for the next few weeks we’ll focus on some more in-depth interviews with a variety of UC advocates– starting today with Greg Douglas, EVP for Sales at Yorktel. Yorktel offers unified communications services and specializes on integrating UC with video managed services for large business and government agencies. It has 10,000 video systems under management worldwide; 2015 marks the company’s 30th anniversary.
Yorktel celebrated 2014 with record growth: annual revenue increased globally by 17% year-over-year. The company’s Telehealth vertical business grew 77%, and its EMEA region expanded by 50% compared to 2013. It also reported that 50% of company revenues are now generated from recurring managed services contracts.
Last year, Yorktel acquired two video service providers that have helped it increase its market share, including MultiSense Communications, a British firm with expertise in health-care applications; and Expedite VCS, which provide services to the government market sector. It also added two new offices in North Carolina and in France and secured ISO 27001 certification.
