Zoom Announces ZoomPresence is Now Zoom Rooms

May 12, 2015, Santa Clara, CA – Zoom, the cloud video conferencing company, today announces that they have rebranded their conference room system from ZoomPresence to Zoom Rooms.

Zoom Rooms (formerly ZoomPresence) is the first software-based conference room system that runs on Mac OS and iOS. Zoom Rooms is the alternative to expensive, complicated projection and conference room systems.

The name change to “Zoom Rooms” is a reflection of the diversity of settings and use cases for which the service can be used.

“Zoom Rooms is the collaboration solution for any room you can imagine,” said Eric Yuan, CEO of Zoom. “Is your enterprise seeking a new projector for your executive board room? Is your start-up looking to outfit your small huddle rooms with a new video conferencing system? Is your university trying to replace its ancient hardware-based classrooms? Is your medical group looking for an easy way to patch remote specialists into your doctors’ offices? Whatever the need, whatever the setting, Zoom Rooms has it covered.”

Zoom Rooms is the future of room-based video collaboration, with five key innovations:

Easy set up. Zoom can be set up in minutes by connecting your HD camera, touchscreen, and monitor(s) to a Mac device; then loading the Zoom Rooms application to the Mac and iPad.

Integrated solution. Zoom Rooms integrates with your Google or Outlook calendar so you can instantly host or schedule a meeting from your browser. With Zoom Rooms, see your schedule of upcoming meetings and start your meeting with a single touch.

Flexible meetings. Up to 200 interactive video participants or 3,000 webinar viewers can join your Zoom Rooms conference. Unlike other platforms, Zoom Rooms is an all-in-one solution so participants can join from their desktops, laptops, mobile devices, telephones, traditional conference room systems, and other Zoom Rooms systems.

Fits any room. Zoom Rooms is the only solution that fits any conference room with its multi HD screen support.

Content sharing. Zoom Rooms replaces outdated, difficult projector systems by supporting easy sharing of desktop and mobile content over Wi-Fi or by direct HDMI connection. It is the first platform that can share client-side streaming video with audio.

Zoom Rooms saves customers more than 90% over traditional room systems. Compared to the ongoing maintenance fees of these traditional systems, Zoom Rooms’ annual subscription fee is as low as $99.90, making it the most affordable solution on the market.
